CBS took the night with new episodes of "Medium" and "CSI: NY" and a rerun of "The Mentalist." The Friday night news programs of "Primetime, "Dateline" and "20/20" were good for NBC and ABC to almost tie in second. CBS led with 8.1 million viewers and a 5.1 rating/9 share among households. NBC was second at 5.1 million, 3.2/6 and ABC was a close third with 5.0 million, 3.3/6. FOX was not far behind at 4.7 million, 2.8/5 and the CW's reruns were good for 1.6 million, 1.0/2. In the 18-49 demo, CBS also won (1.5), but NBC (1.4), ABC (1.3) and FOX (1.2) were right behind. The CW was last with 0.6.
