CBS' Psychics and FOX's Baseball a hit on Friday

Fast National ratings for Friday, Oct. 16, 2009

CBS' Friday night win in the ratings looks very similar to the previous week's, but got some competition from Game 1 of the baseball playoffs between the Angels and the Yankees on FOX. As expected, the two-hour premiere of "Ugly Betty" on ABC improved on the previous week's reruns of "FlashForward" and comedies, bringing the network an okay third-place finish for the night.

CBS averaged 8 million viewers and an 5.1 rating/9 share in households. FOX took second with 7.4 million viewers and a 4.6/8 share, while NBC (6.1 million, 4.1/7) took third. ABC's 5.7 million and 3.9/7 was good for fourth, and The CW took up last position (2 million, 1.3/2).

FOX took the demo title home, however, grabbing a 2.3 rating among adults 18-49. CBS was second with a 2.0, followed by ABC, 1.6, NBC, 1.4, and The CW at 0.8.
